You know all the really cool people live Overseas.
You know how I know?
They all finish work at 4 on a Friday, it's law.
That's where Gem Kingdom comes from, Over Seas. However in the Gem Kingdom workshop at 4 on Fridays (instead of cycling home, bread stick under arm) they close the windows and curtains like a blackout during the London blitz and huddle in a medieval circle to read aloud from 'Pride and Prejudice' and inhaling the fumes from their soldering irons.
The results are weekend long headaches and mind blowing 'objet d'art'.
They give to us necklaces with multiple cameos dancing at floucey angles, rings for the Monaco card shark in all of us, tiny resin hearts and silver birds on delicate bracelets and tons of gothic class.
Chunky and clunky, delicate and sweet are part of the wonderful contradictions that make up Gem Kingdom.
Do they make up part of you?
